A law graduate from Cambridge University, Simon has over 25 years’ experience in financial markets having started his career at Cazenove & Co. and was subsequently an Executive Director of corporate finance at UBS Warburg, Co-Head of UK ECM in London. More recently he has been a Director of Herald Ventures LLP, the venture capital arm of Herald Investment Management Limited and was a founding Partner of New Street Research LLP, an independent broking business specialising in the provision of debt and equity research for the telecoms, communications and pharmaceuticals sector.

Simon joined the Board of Sheffield Haworth as a Non-Executive Director in January 2002 and subsequently as Managing Director and Group Chief Operating Officer in February 2007. Simon relocated to Hong Kong in 2009 to head up the office and further develop Sheffield Haworth`s Asia platform. Simon focuses on roles in Corporate & Investment Banking, M&A, Coverage, Capital Markets, Private Equity and Infrastructure across Asia.
